Very easy to follow. Thank you!
Beware pickpockets on the metro in Milan.
It is truly appalling what has transpired. We are an elderly couple with a daughter who is still pursuing her studies. Just yesterday, my wife fell victim to a group of thieves who seem to have no regard for the lives of others, driven solely by their desire to steal and deceive. This group, likely consisting of individuals from Romania, was made up of well-dressed women in their forties. We were traveling on the metro line 2 from Milano Centrale Station, and due to the crowded conditions, my wife and daughter moved to the left side where there was an available seat. As an older man with a cane and mobility issues, I took a seat on the right side. A few minutes later, my wife realized that she had been robbed by one of these women, along with two accomplices, losing €500 that was earmarked for our medical treatment in Milan.
This incident occurred on April 9th, between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM, between the metro stops of Milano Centrale and Gioia. After the theft, we returned to Milano Centrale to file a report with the police at platform 21. Unfortunately, after my wife recounted her experience, I requested to view footage of the criminals. To our dismay, we learned that there are hundreds of such thieves operating in the area, targeting both foreign and domestic travelers. When we inquired about accessing the CCTV footage, we were informed that privacy concerns made it unlikely we would be able to obtain it. This situation is a disgrace for Milan.
The three criminals surrounded my wife in a circle and forcefully opened her bag, resulting in her loss of €500. It is unacceptable that such criminal activity continues to persist in this city. I find it unimaginable that this can happen. I sincerely hope that these criminals are soon confronted by a victim, perhaps leading them to face consequences that would confine them to a wheelchair for the rest of their lives. It would be beneficial if a far-right party were to win the elections and take measures to send these criminals back to their origins.
kak, kalo dari Lampugnano bus station ke Milan centrale, tiket mesinya bisa langsung beli yang 3 days langsung kah? mohon pencerahannya, soalnya bakal solo trip huhu makasih kak
Regarding the day pass, is it for a day from Midnight to Midnight, or is it valid for 24 hours after purchasing, please? I'll be in Milan for about 20 hours in May. If the day pass is valid for 24 hrs from the time it's purchased that will be perfect!
what if I wanna use the same credit card for 3 passengers? Would I just tap the contactless visa 3 times for 3 persons or something?
Please tell the operating timings of Milan public transport
When visiting Milan, the metro is a great way to get around, and the 3 day pass for 15 euro is the best one to get. Word of caution, not all the metro ticket machines accept foreign visa cards, and the ones that do sometimes malfunction and take your cash give a receipt, but no tickets are issued. Also, very few metro stations have staff when things go wrong to help, pretty crap service really for a city the size of Milan.
Thank you for this video! Super helpful! We'll be in Italy (Milan, Florence and Rome) in October and I'm super stressed out about the transport. As a tourist, would you recommend a physical ticket or simply tapping with our credit card? And how can you show the inspectors a validated ticket if you use tour card? Thank you !
Very helpful, but I have a question. Do I have to scan the purchased ticket with QR code in ATM app when get on bus or tram?
Very helpful, but I have a question. Do I have to scan the purchased ticket with QR code in ATM app when get on bus or tram?
Is it required to tap out credit card when going out the bus/tram? Thanks
Hello….thanks a lot for your help….i have one question, what do you mean by you can use the ticket once in metro…cos last time l bought 72 hours ticket and I wanted to use only metro…i used it the first time and the second time, the third time it said biglletto scaduto..and I couldn't use it anymore…….what do you mean by once…do you mean once a day or once in 90 minutes or once in 48 or 72 hours…..thanks a lot …
Is the one day tkt means valid for 24 hrs after validation?
If I first use the subway and then a bus/ tram ; do I need to valudate again within the validation period
Here is a fools guide to getting this ticket…….
1. Buy the 1 day, 3 day, 1000 day…. Tickets before you arrive to Milan because 95% of staff in the station don’t know what this card is or where to buy it from and they are very dismissive and some what rude.
2. To buy this ticket you have to use an actual credit card (the one you pay back monthly) uk debit cards or other country equivalents that hold your own money do not work.
3. You will get a link which allows you to download an attachment which contains a serial number.
4. Take that serial number to “THE CORRECT TICKET MACHINE” and select other tickets, the select your type of ticket and the enter the code. This will verify and then dispense the ticket to you. This ticket is the valid on all mentor lines for 24hrs from the time of activation.
5. If you want to buy this ticket at the station then you have to select the correct machine. So….. the metro is below Centrale station. Go down to the metro station and you will see an official looking office with orange logo. With office door directly in front of you “GO TO THE LEFT” and there will be some machines for tickets. Now it’s the machines on the left wall only where you can get this ticket. And only 1 nice guy knew this. 1 F….. person in Milan’s entire train and metro network who was at work that day.
6. To use ticket enter at turnstile barrier it lets you through and spits your card out on the other side.
Please share this with anyone travelling to Milan because it’s an absolute nightmare as the staff (besides Mr Nice) were angry and useless.
Safe travels.
Hi! I have tried to validate my account to use the ATM app and get the sms with the code. Its so frustrating
Great video! Do you think you could do a video on how to read the lines map?
Great info tks!
Thanks for the helpful video! Can the QR code from the ATM app be used on the trams and buses as well? Thank you!
Hello Sir. Thanks for sharing this, and is very helpful. I just wondering if there is a train from Milan Bergamo Airport to Duomo? Thank you.
Thank you so much for the video, it’s very helpful! I’ll be traveling with my 11-year-old son, and I believe he won’t need a ticket. However, as we’re planning to visit San Siro, I was wondering if there are any specific instructions for getting through the metro gates. Would I need to ask someone for assistance? Thank you
As someone that has been to Milan more than once, I believe the video is helpful, but I believe you should remake/edit the video to feature the new "RicaricaMi" tickets as ATM is planning to phase out the old ones (the ones featured in your videos) by the next year
Hello,
Thanks for the video. This is just exactly what I'm looking for.
One question, do children need to have a full fare ticket as well or is there any reduction for them?
With using contactless payment on the bus or tram, how will the inspector know that I have tapped upon boarding and paid for the trip? With tickets, the passenger just shows the ticket, but what does one show to inspector for contactless payment? Do I get a QR code upon tapping?
My credit card does not have the tap feature, can you swipe your card also?
how do you pay contactless when you have 2 people and want to use the same card?
Which metro line from milano centrale to milano lambrate train station
I sow around 100v video .this video is the best for explanation.i appreciate your outstanding performance
